XPS insulation is a high performance insulating material that can be used in both residential and commercial buildings. The manufacturing process begins with melting together plastic resin, other ingredients to create an expanding liquid form of polymer called polystyrene sulfate or PVC for short which then gets continuously extruded through dies until it’s cooled off at room temperature whereupon these molecules crystallize forming what we know as XPS Insulation!
